At Native Tonque, we invite travelers from around the world to immerse themselves in the flavors, history, and culture of Greece.During our private cooking classes, you’ll learn to create a selection of mouthwatering dishes that have been cherished by locals for generations.   

This is a private cooking experience, allowing you to choose between a Signature Greek Menu or one of our special themed menus, including options for meat lovers, seafood-focused dishes, or grandma-style Greek recipes inspired by deeply traditional home cooking.   

You will start your journey by shopping for fresh ingredients at the bustling Central Food Market of Athens, known as Varvakeios Agora, where the city’s energy and everyday food culture come alive.    After a short market visit, you’ll take a short walk to our carefully curated space in the heart of Athens. Set on a high floor and filled with natural light, it features a large balcony with open urban views, comfortably above the city’s noise.   

Guided by our professional chef, you’ll prepare iconic Greek dishes using the ingredients you’ve chosen, take extra ideas for small twists on every recipe, and once everything is ready, you’ll sit down together to share and enjoy your creations, just like a traditional Greek family table.

What’s Included:

  • Gratuities (it is not mandatory in Greek culture but it is appreciated if you are satisfied with the service provided).

1. The menu and dishes vary according to the season and the freshest ingredients available at the local market.

2. This experience is vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free friendly. Please let us know at the time of booking.

3. Kindly inform us in case of any dietary restrictions.

4. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers (2). If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

5. On Sundays, the market is closed, so the market visit is not available. Instead, we will prepare traditional Greek coffee together and enjoy it, before the cooking class begin.6.Wheelchair & Stroller accessible

Aegean Seafood Menu

  • Taramosalata

Traditional Greek fish roe dip blended with olive oil, lemon juice and bread, served as a creamy spread.

  • Potato Salad or Green Salad

Fresh boiled potato salad with herbs and olive oil, or a crisp mixed green salad with seasonal vegetables.

  • Fried Calamari

Deep-fried squid, crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with lemon.

  • Baked Sardines “Pantremenes”

Fresh sardines stuffed and baked with tomatoes, onions, herbs, and olive oil in a traditional Greek style.

  • Greek Pasta with Cuttlefish or Octopus

Small pasta cooked in rich cuttlefish sauce with tomato, herbs, and olive oil, full of Mediterranean flavor.

  • Loukoumades with Honey

Traditional Greek golden fried dough balls, drizzled with honey and cinnamon.

  • Bougiourdi with Sausage

A spicy baked Greek appetizer with feta cheese, tomatoes, peppers, and herbs, topped with handcrafted sausage.

  • French Fries with Fried Eggs

Crispy golden fries topped with sunny-side-up eggs, the most comfort Greek dish.

Fresh tomato, cucumber, onion, olives, and feta cheese, dressed with extra virgin olive oil and oregano.

Traditional Greek eggplant spread, or fava beans purée with olive oil and onion, both classic Mediterranean starters.

Crispy feta cheese wrapped in golden sesame crust, lightly fried and drizzled with aromatic Greek honey.

  • Greek Salad

Fresh tomato, cucumber, onion, olives, and feta cheese, dressed with extra virgin olive oil and oregano.

  • Zucchini Fritters (Kolokythokeftedes)

Lightly fried zucchini and herb patties, crispy outside and soft inside, served as a traditional Greek meze.
